The LAKMA, is a project headed by the Gausachs Art Foundation.
Our mission is to collect, conserve, study and disseminate Latin American art, dating from the early 20th Century to the present day and to promote Dutch artist to our Latin American audience.
The Foundation was established in July 2006 to run cultural and educational projects. It is a, non-profit organization formed in accordance with the Civil Code of the Nederlands with the number KvK358227. In 2007 The Foundation decided to create The LAKMA Project and has destined its efforts and resources for this purposes.
Our main objectives are: to educate and stimulate public interest in Latin American artists; to contribute to awareness of Latin America’s cultural achievements, encourage appreciation of regional cultural and artistic diversity; collaborating to these ends with the national and international community, promote artistic exchange between national, regional, and international institutions, and support innovative programs that focus on the visual arts and Latin American culture.
